Optics11 is a fast-growing high-tech company based in Amsterdam. We developed cutting edge sensor systems providing unique solutions for Energy and Defense applications that involve precise measurements in challenging environments.
We are looking for an Account Executive to expand our commercial team. Your focus will be on bringing the Optics11 hydrophone products to the market though a partner network. You will establish relationships with larger Defense firms and representatives from navies around the world. Close cooperation with other departments such as Product Management and Presales is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to our go-to-market strategy by finding and engaging suitable (OEM) partners.
- Manage the often-lengthy sales cycles from lead classification to trials and finally deal closures.
- Travel to diverse geographical locations, including international conferences and trade shows, to expand our presence and network.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations/proposals to prospective clients.
- Maintain an up-to-date Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Articulate the USPs of the Optics11 products and explain how these differentiate from competing products.
- Continuously follow up on active leads to nurture client relationships.

Job requirements
The ideal candidate....
… probably doesn't exist, but we would like to get to know you if you check most boxes underneath:
- A technical bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years’ relevant sales experience
- Have experience ideally in the Defense sector related to sonar.
- Self-starter, able to work independently, and maintains a positive attitude.
- Combination of technical and commercial qualities, deal closer
- Interest in innovation, eager to deepen knowledge of the market.
- Result and goal driven, willing to invest in mastering our high-tech products.
- Able to navigate a customer interaction that is both product and business focused with multiple stakeholders.
- ability to generate new business by proactively engaging potential customers, such as at trade shows.
- Willing to travel (25 – 40%).
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, other languages are a plus.
- Applicants should be eligible for NATO/Dutch security clearance.
