People Business Partner
- On-site
Job description
At Optics11, we're building technology that helps protect critical infrastructure around the world. As we continue our rapid growth, we're investing in building not only world-class technology, but also a world-class organisation.
Our People, Organisation & Culture team plays a key role in creating an environment where people can do their best work, leaders can grow, and the organisation can scale without losing what makes Optics11 unique. As we grow from around 130 to 300 employees over the coming 1,5 years, we're looking for a People Business Partner who will help shape that journey.
The Role:
As Optics11 continues to grow, you'll play a key role in developing our next generation of leaders. You'll partner closely with managers across the organisation, helping them build high-performing teams, strengthen their leadership skills and navigate the people challenges that come with scaling a business.
You'll be a trusted advisor who combines sound judgement, coaching skills and solid employment law knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach. You understand that in a growing company there isn't always a playbook and you're comfortable helping build one.
Working alongside the Chief People Officer and the wider People, Organisation & Culture team, you'll help build an organisation where great people, strong leadership and business performance go hand in hand.
What will you do?
Partner with managers:
Support managers in building engaged, high-performing teams.
Help new and experienced managers develop their leadership capabilities.
Guide managers through performance, development and organisational conversations.
Employee Relations:
Advise on employee relations matters and employment legislation.
Support managers with performance improvement, absence management and other people-related cases.
Ensure fair, consistent and pragmatic decision-making.
Leadership Development:
Coach managers in their day-to-day leadership challenges.
Help managers build confidence in giving feedback, managing performance and leading change.
Contribute to leadership development initiatives across the organisation.
Organisation & Culture
Partner with leaders on organisational changes and team development.
Help strengthen our culture while supporting rapid growth.
Contribute to People, Organisation & Culture initiatives that improve the employee experience.
Build for scale
Help develop people practices that are simple, effective and scalable.
Identify opportunities to improve the way we work.
Collaborate closely with Recruitment and People Operations to deliver an excellent employee experience.
What we offer:
The opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of an international scale-up with a meaningful mission.
A true HR Business Partner role where you will influence business decisions through people, culture, and organizational development.
The opportunity to work closely with leaders, coaching and supporting them in building high-performing teams.
Ownership from day one, with the freedom to improve HR practices, drive change, and make a visible impact across the organization.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
Around 5-8 years of experience in an HR Business Partner, People Partner or similar role.
Experience in a growing technology, engineering, manufacturing or deep-tech environment.
Experience supporting engineering, R&D or other highly technical teams is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of Dutch employment law.
Experience coaching managers on a broad range of people topics.
Comfortable working in an international and fast-changing environment.
You are:
A trusted advisor who builds strong relationships across the business.
Pragmatic and solutions-oriented.
Confident enough to challenge constructively when needed.
Calm and thoughtful when navigating complex situations.
Hands-on and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational work.
Curious, collaborative and eager to help build a growing organisation.
Why join Optics11?
This is an opportunity to make a real impact during an exciting phase of growth. You'll help shape how we develop leaders, strengthen our culture and build an organisation that can scale while staying true to who we are.
You'll join a collaborative People, Organisation & Culture team where you'll have the autonomy to make a difference and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
