Product Manager Defence

As Product Manager (Towed Arrays), you will report to the Head of Product Management and work closely with the defence Business Development Director and the technical development (R&D) teams. You will lead product definition and development on behalf of our defence customers, including the Dutch Navy.

It is a strategic cross-functional role that requires you to build trusted relationships with your colleagues across departments and disciplines. You are successful when you lead the product team to define, build and sell the best products that enable expected business growth.

Your duties and responsibilities would include:

• Further develop the vision for our hydrophone-towed-array product (OptiArray), looking for the right product-market combinations and selecting the right partners for completing the proposition. Focus will be on towed arrays as a payload for uncrewed vessels with military application.

• You take full responsibility for the product definition, roadmaps, and strategy. You execute product launches across the departments: R&D, operations, marketing and sales. You set priorities for product investments on one hand and facilitate the user testing and user experience feedback on the other.

• You engage with our customers and partners, ensuring that requirements, interfaces and expectations are well managed.

• You will manage the product at every stage of its lifecycle.

What you bring:

• A completed technical education at university level.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager in complex environments, navigating challenges throughout the product lifecycle.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and sales and marketing teams.

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards.

• Acts on a strategic level with clients, partners and colleagues.

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• Customer-focused approach to product development.

• Problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic settings.

• Experience in defense industry is a plus.
