Project controller

As Project Controller at Optics11, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and operational performance of our strategic projects. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure strong financial oversight, risk management, and project performance monitoring.

Given the entrepreneurial and fast-growing nature of the organization, this position offers a broad and hands-on scope with significant exposure to both finance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and actual spending across multiple projects;

• Identify and analyze budget deviations, cost overruns, and financial risks;

• Support Project Managers with financial insights and performance reporting;

• Track project progress against financial milestones and contractual obligations;

• Maintain visibility on project risks, including financial, operational, and delivery-related risks;

• Prepare project performance reports and management updates for the CFO and leadership team;

• Contribute to improving project control processes, reporting structures, and internal controls;

• Act as a financial business partner to the project organization;

• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial data and project reporting;

• Develop a solid understanding of accounting principles and their impact on project performance, although transactional accounting itself is managed separately.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

• 3–7 years of experience in project controlling, business controlling;

• Experience working in project-driven environment such as the offshore industry or the building/ construction industry;

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills;

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;

• Comfortable interacting with both finance and operational stakeholders;

• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset;

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills;

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
