We are looking for a Senior Offshore Project Engineer for the exciting activities in our underwater department. You will become part of our young, enthusiastic, and cross-functional engineering team, working in a dynamic and stimulating international environment and with great growth opportunities.

What will you be doing? 

As a Senior offshore project engineer, you work in an international multidisciplinary team on underwater system architecture, deployment plans, deployment technology, developing marine test plans, leading deployment projects, and handling relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the projects, sales and business development, and the product management teams, as well as external industrial partners and end-clients. 

What is expected of you: 

• Understanding the needs and requirements for successful and quality execution of marine deployments for navies and defense companies.

• Working closely with offshore deployment partners, align on project objectives and contribute to co-development of deployment technologies for different marine environments and conditions.

• Understanding the requirements and constraints of commercial project deliveries, and contribute to designing and fine-tuning deployment plans, installation plans, and technical discussions with partners and end users who are involved in the project.

• Contributing to the engineering efforts and technical soundness of the final deliveries to clients. This includes both the required integration engineering (in-house), and deployment and operations support (in-field).

• Interacting and providing feedback to hardware and software R&D engineers and product managers supporting the development and improvement of our sensors and sensing systems. Focus on user experience and ease of use.

• Being willing to travel up to 40% of the time.

What are we looking for?

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace/Naval or marine engineering or similar. 

• Agile engineering mindset and being able to deal with unforeseen challenges in the field.

• More than 5-10 years of experience in offshore, marine, and deployment engineering.

• A generalist with a broad interest in technology and interdisciplinary fields.

• Good communication skills in English, with an open and social personality.

• Structured and independent way of working, affinity with project management. 

• Have flexibility in traveling abroad.

• Eligibility to obtain NATO/Dutch security clearance. 

You'll be working with clients in the defense and security sectors, obtaining a Certificate of No Objection issued by the AIVD (Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory.
